Utah’s Finest- Arches NP
When my partner and I started dating I was traveling a lot for work (and still am) so we needed a way to get out and explore. Living in Arizona gave us incredible access to all the cool things the southwest has to offer within a few hours of driving. At the very top of that list, for me, is Moab, Utah. The gateway to Arches National Park! Arches is a small but spectacular park. The out and back road has lots of pull outs with activities, hikes, info boards, and amazing opportunities for photography.
This photo was taken on a dusty hiking trail on our way to visit one of the many arches tucked deep into the park. Taking photos for me has always been a spur of the moment thing. I see something that looks like a good opportunity and then find a way to frame it. This particular photo has a special place in my heart because I love the dead branches and the framing of a balanced rock makes for the perfect representation of Arches.
